Glossary
The terms Kendrick uses and what they refer to.
- Axis
- The vertical line around which the body organises. When the axis is stable, movement is clean.
- Alignment
- The correct stacking of head, ribcage, and pelvis. Alignment reduces muscular compensation.
- Stance
- How the foot contacts the ground. A stable stance allows effortless posture.
- Balance
- The distribution of weight between heel and forefoot. Balance determines whether the ankle works or rests.
- Structural heel
- A heel designed to reposition posture, not merely elongate the leg. The base is wider, the placement centred.
- Sculpted heel
- A heel whose shape combines mechanical stability with visual intention. The geometry serves both the body and the line.
- Silhouette line
- The visible outline of the shoe when worn. At Kendrick, the silhouette line is the result of structure — not the other way around.
