Kendrick fabrication — boots and pumps

Marche, Italy

Fabrication

Each pair is made in the Marche region of Italy, by a family atelier specialising in heeled footwear.

Principle

One atelier. One craft.

The process has not changed: hand cutting, lasting, hand assembly, final inspection.

No subcontracting. No mass production. One geometry in service of posture.

Materials

Full-grain lambskin. Leather sole.

Process

Five steps. None automated.

01

Cutting

Each piece of leather is cut by hand. Grain direction determines hold and ageing. Nothing is automated.

02

Pattern

The pattern translates geometry into template. Every curve, every angle determines the final silhouette and how weight distributes across the foot.

03

Selection

Each hide is inspected for texture, colour consistency, and capacity to age. Leather is chosen for how it holds over time, not only how it looks.

04

Assembly

Pieces are lasted by hand. Each stitch is placed with intention. The leather is tensioned, not forced — structure comes from precision, not pressure.

05

Inspection

Every pair is checked before shipping. Materials, lasting, finish, balance. What does not pass inspection does not leave the atelier.

Structure and comfort

Comfort comes from placement.

When the heel sits under the centre of gravity, weight distributes. The ankle works less. The step stabilises.
